Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

PromptPix is owned and operated by Waheed Ullah ("we," "our," or "us"). We operate the PromptPix mobile application and promptpix.net. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our app or website.

By using PromptPix, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information we collect

We collect information necessary for app functionality:

• Usage data: Analytics via Firebase Analytics (e.g., screens viewed, feature usage) to improve the app.
• App activity: App interactions, in-app search activity, and related diagnostics used for functionality, analytics, ads, and personalization.
• Device information & IDs: Device type, OS version, app version, and advertising/device identifiers (for ads and services such as App Check / Play Integrity).
• Crash & performance data: Crash logs and diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics to keep the app stable.
• Network data: The app loads prompts from our content servers when you are online. Core browsing does not require creating an account.
• Photos and videos (optional): Only if you use Image to Prompt or Video to Prompt. See Image & Video to Prompt.
• Purchase history: Confirmation of Pro subscriptions and optional AI credit pack purchases from Apple / Google Play (we do not receive your card number).
• Advertising data: If you use the free version, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data. See Advertising.
• Push notification tokens: If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging may store a device token to deliver alerts.
• On-device storage: Favorites, recent copies, and similar preferences may be stored locally on your device.
• Credit / usage sync (optional backend): To prevent abuse of free daily AI generations, limited credit-usage state may be synced with Firebase (for example Firestore) in a device-bound way. This is not a public social profile.

We do not require your name, email, phone number, or precise location to use the core app. You may contact us by email for support.

3. Image & Video to Prompt (AI features)

When you choose to use Image to Prompt or Video to Prompt:

• You select a photo or short video from your device (via the system picker).
• In-app permission first: Before the first upload for each feature, the app shows an "Allow AI media analysis?" dialog that discloses what media is sent, that Google Gemini (Google LLC) via Firebase AI Logic receives it, and that it is used only to generate your prompt. If you tap "Not now," media is not sent. Consent is stored on-device and shown again only if you reset app data.
• After you allow, media is sent securely (encrypted in transit) to Google Gemini through Firebase AI Logic so we can generate paste-ready prompts for you.
• We use these features only when you tap Generate. Uploading media is optional and not required to browse or copy catalog prompts.
• Generated prompt text may be shown in the app for you to copy or share. We do not sell your photos or videos, and media is not used for advertising.
• AI requests may be protected with Firebase App Check (for example App Attest / Play Integrity) to reduce abuse.
• Use of Gemini / Firebase AI is also subject to Google's privacy policies and terms.

Do not upload media you are not allowed to process or share under applicable law.

4. How we use your information

• Provide and maintain app features (browse, search, copy, favorites, and AI reverse-prompt tools).
• Generate prompts from media you voluntarily submit via Image / Video to Prompt.
• Display advertisements in the free mobile app (Google AdMob) and on this website (Google AdSense).
• Analyze usage, diagnose crashes, and improve performance and UX.
• Process optional Pro subscriptions and AI credit purchases through Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Enforce fair-use limits on free AI generations and protect against fraud or abuse.
• Send optional push notifications you have enabled.

6. Third-party services

• Google AdMob — ads in the free app. Google Privacy Policy

• Firebase AI Logic / Google Gemini API — processes photos or videos you submit for Image / Video to Prompt.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — in-app purchases and subscriptions.

These providers have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

7. Advertising & tracking choices

App (AdMob)

Free users may see banner, interstitial, rewarded, native, or app-open ads via AdMob. On iOS 14.5+, we may request App Tracking Transparency permission before personalized ads. On Android, consent / privacy messaging may be shown where required (e.g. GDPR regions).

You can limit ad tracking in device settings: iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android — Settings → Google → Ads.

PromptPix Pro subscribers do not see in-app ads while their subscription is active.

Website (Google AdSense)

promptpix.net uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits.

You may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and (for participating companies) at aboutads.info. You can also use your browser controls to block or delete cookies. Some ads may still appear; they will be less personalized.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) for network traffic. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

PromptPix (the app and this website) is not directed to children under 13, and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The “Kids” prompt category is family-friendly styles for adults to generate images — it is not a children’s product and is not intended for use by children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it where applicable.

10. Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Uninstalling the app stops most on-device collection. For ad-related choices, use your device settings as described above. For privacy questions or deletion requests related to data we control, contact [email protected].

11. This website (promptpix.net)

This website publishes a public prompt library and information about the PromptPix app. You can browse and copy prompts without creating an account.

• Logs: Our server and CDN may record technical data such as IP address, browser type, date/time, and pages requested, for security and to keep the site online.
• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the public library is used (which pages are opened, traffic sources). This uses the Google tag on every page. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
• Cookies & AdSense: Essential cookies may be set so the site works. This website uses Google AdSense. Google may set cookies or use advertising identifiers to serve, personalize, and measure ads, as described in Advertising and in Google’s ads policy. Opt out of personalized ads: adssettings.google.com.
• Images: Prompt previews may load from our media library or from the PromptPix content host. Those hosts have their own privacy practices.
• Optional browser alerts: If you tap Alerts and choose Allow, we store a browser push subscription (a delivery address, not your name or email) so we can send optional notices such as new prompts. Turn alerts off in your browser settings. Subscriptions the browser reports as expired are deleted. This is separate from notifications inside the PromptPix iOS and Android apps.

App advertising (AdMob) is separate from website ads (AdSense). Both are covered in Advertising.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
